Peter Hall founded the Avelin Group in 2000, as a successor firm to the innovative active advisory model pioneered by VC Mentors, a business he co-founded in 1997. VC Mentors worked with many fast growth enterprises, assisting them to refine their business strategies, prepare for investment and securing capital for expansion.
Peter has founded, managed, invested in and advised numerous early stage companies over the last 25 years.

Karl Schutte has been working in the Investment Banking sector in a strategic advisory and capital raising role for the past 25 years, across South Africa, Australia and the UK.
He was previously a chartered accountant with KPMG, Rand Merchant Bank, Deutsche Bank Sydney in project and leveraged finance, Head of Acquisition Finance at NM Rothschild Sydney and Director Debt Advisory with Grant Samuel in London.
Michael Foulds
Strategy
Dr Michael Foulds was formerly a partner with the global strategy consulting firm Arthur D. Little, where he was a senior member of the firm’s Telecoms, Information, Media and Electronics practice in Asia.
Michael has extensive business development and project experience throughout Asia-Pacific, assisting clients with corporate and business unit strategy, IPO due diligence, post-merger integration and profit improvement.
